Hey everyone! I wanted to properly unveil something I’ve been hard at work on and fairly quiet about up till now.
I’m leading a project for my college finals titled “Gachatown!” Please follow the development on our newly launched twitter account! We absolutely will need test players for feedback soon. The twitter will help to track more progress and we will soon also post polished build shots. Gachatown is a mobile game that focuses on collecting toys from gachapon machines. The player will build a town from their collection and watch the town come to life! We currently have four themes for our machines but plan to add as much as we can to the game. The above images are some work in progress shots and also show a few items in the game. We are still polishing and building this project!
Our team is comprised of myself, 5 peers, and a few friends providing outside help with audio and splash art. Everyone has been working hard and we hope that you enjoy our work as we continue to flesh out the project more. It is still very early and when a public build goes live please keep in mind that it will still be small, but we would very much value getting feedback on what people liked, what caused hickups, bugs, and what you’d like to see in future updates. Until then we’ll keep the twitter up to date with our work.
This weekend we will be presenting an Alpha build at iFest in Seattle. If you're in the area, come check it out! iFest is a free to attend event.
